Park in Opatów has been sold, park in Debrzno works at its full capacity

Retail park in Opatów, created on the basis of an innovative method of financing, has been sold to the target investor. BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions, as a party financing the purchase made by private entrepreneurs, has bought EDS Park Opatów. EDS Park Debrzno, which was opened in mid-December 2019 has welcomed the last tenant – Pepco was opened in mid-February, thus complementing the commercial offer of the facility. In the case of this project, talks with the target buyer are ongoing.

– “The sale of the park in Opatów is the crowning of the whole project. Within the framework of Higasa Club we obtained full financing from individual investors, who, in accordance with agreements concerning this particular undertaking, received the interest rate of 7% per year and now their capital will be returned to them. What is more, the whole process was shorter than we had expected. I believe that fulfilled commitments will result in even greater trust of new Higasa Club investors while creating new parks” – said Marcin Rudziński, Higasa Properties Board Member.

The whole sale transaction is similar to car leasing. In the case of Opatów, private entrepreneurs are lessees and a financial institution is the owner. – “Real estate leasing is nowadays the only tool, which enables a faster depreciation of real estate. BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions serves bank clients from the segments of microenterprises and personal finance and, among other things, offers financial products for small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as corporate clients. Suggested real estate leasing is an alternative method of financing clients’ needs connected with the possession of real estates, as compared to credits” – highlights Justyna Przybylska, Account Manager in BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions.

Another planned undertaking is selling the park in Debrzno. From mid-February, EDS Park Debrzno has been working at its full capacity – Pepco was the last to open its store. The first and the second quarter of 2020 are the continuation of implementing new projects or preparing for them. The final works are in progress before delivering the first stage of EDS Park Legnica, where Biedronka discount store will be opened in March. Also in March there should start the construction of a park in Reda, where the last commercialisation agreements are being signed at the same time.

The next town, in which a park built by EDS Retail Park and Higasa Properties companies will be created, is Nowy Dwór Mazowiecki – in the case of this investment advanced talks are ongoing with the party, which is buying the whole facility within the framework of Higasa Club in “design a business” option, so in this case a private investor will finance the construction from his own resources and will instantly become the owner of the park.
